Content Designer – TV App
12-month Initial Contract
Inside IR35 – Up to £420 per day
UK-based – Remote, with occasional travel
About the Role
We’re looking for a content-focused designer with strong retouching and compositing skills to help create compelling visuals for TV shows and films on-platform. You’ll be working within an international creative team of designers and art directors to develop artwork that feels true to the world of each title.
You’ll take early-stage concepts and help bring them to life visually – shaping tone, refining composition, applying light grading and retouching, and getting visuals to a place where they clearly communicate the creative intent. From there you will either finish these in-house, or work with vendors to finalise for use on-platform.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and retouch visuals for on-platform use – across cover art, title moments, rows, and episodic treatments
- Develop thoughtful visual compositions that reflect the tone, story, and identity of a title
- Work from a range of inputs: early creative directions, comps, rough edits, or pulled stills
- Apply high-level retouching, compositing and grading techniques to bring images to life
- Collaborate with creative leads, motion designers and editors to build visuals that feel connected to both product and content
- Iterate quickly and respond well to feedback while maintaining a strong point of view
What We’re Looking For
- Advanced Photoshop skills with a strong eye for tone, detail, composition and storytelling
- Experience working with stills, layered PSDs, and a mix of source assets
- A sharp sense of taste – able to reference and apply visual cues from art, fashion, editorial, and entertainment
- Comfortable in a fast-moving creative environment, and confident working autonomously or as part of a team
- An understanding of how to balance polish and authenticity in visual design
- Bonus if you have motion or type design experience
